A Lineage of Grace: Five Stories of Unlikely Women Who Changed Eternity by Francine Rivers

A Lineage of Grace: Five Stories of Unlikely Women Who Changed Eternity by Francine Rivers-

"In this compilation of the five books in the best-selling Lineage of Grace series by Francine Rivers, we meet the five women whom God chose—Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. Each was faced with extraordinary—even scandalous—challenges. Each took great personal risk to fulfill her calling. Each was destined to play a key role in the lineage of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World."

Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors! Here are all of her Lineage Of Grace books together! You can even get it for your Kindle.

June Bug by Chris Fabry

June Bug by Chris Fabry-

"June Bug believed everything her daddy told her. That is, until she walked into Wal-Mart and saw her face on a list of missing children. The discovery begins a quest for the truth about her father, the mother he rarely speaks about, and ultimately herself. A modern interpretation ofLes Miserables, the story follows a dilapidated RV rambling cross-country with June Bug and her father, a man running from a haunted past. Forces beyond their control draw them back to Dogwood, West Virginia, down a winding path that will change their lives forever."

This looks like a great book! I have already put it on my reading list.

The Crossing (The Last Cavaliers) by Gilbert Morris

The Crossing (The Last Cavaliers) by Gilbert Morris-

I love that Gilbert Morris has a new series out and love that it is on the Kindle.  Not all of his books are on the Kindle yet.  This book takes place during the civil war!

"From the beloved author of the bestselling House of Winslow series comes a new trilogy about the Civil War. Join Gilbert Morris as he explores the life of General Stonewall Jackson through the story of the fictional Yancy Tremayne. Raised among the Cheyenne, Yancy rejects the Amish community his father rejoins and instead studies under Thomas Jackson, a professor at the local military school. When war breaks out, will Yancy further distance himself from the pacifist community and join the fighting? And can he find a home for his heart?"

If you are a fan of historical Christian fiction, you will probably like this book!

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers-

"California's gold country, 1850. A time when men sold their souls for a bag of gold and women sold their bodies for a place to sleep.

Angel expects nothing from men but betrayal. Sold into prostitution as a child she survives by keeping her hatred alive. And what she hates most are the men who use her, leaving her empty and dead inside.

Then she meets Michael Hosea. A man who seeks his Father's heart in everything, Michael obeys God's call to marry Angel and to love her unconditionally. Slowly, day by day, he defies Angel's every bitter expectation, until despite her resistance, her frozen heart begins to thaw.

But with her unexpected softening come overwhelming feelings of unworthiness and fear. And so Angel runs. Back to the darkness, away from her husband's pursuing love, terrified of the truth she no longer can deny: Her final healing must come from the One who loves her even more than Michael does ... the One who will never let her go."

This is one of the best books I have ever read, both Christian and non-Christian.  The story really draws you in and the author has a way of making her characters real.  This was the book I read that made me want to read the rest of her stuff.

You can buy this book on Amazon!

Delivered with Love by Sherry Kyle

Delivered with Love by Sherry Kyle-

"An old love letter found in the glove compartment of a young woman's inherited 1972 Volkswagen propels her to leave her life in Los Angeles and go to the small town of Capitola, California. There her dream of finding the writer of the letter leads her on an unexpected journey that changes her life forever.

Claire James, age twenty-three, is ready to make it on her own.  When she's fired from her job as a waitress and subsequently kicked out of her sister's home, she sees it as an opportunity to start over.  But even before moving, a thirty-five-year-old love letter written to her mother keeps Claire stuck in the past.  Michael Thompson, a middle-aged real estate agent, wants to keep the past where it belongs--at least until his grown daughter is married.  But, then a young woman comes to town"

This is a sweet book I have read myself. I really enjoyed it too. It takes place in California where I am from so that was nice too. Claire is very likeable and it is great to read about her journey.  I enjoyed watching her form relationships with others in the book.   You can purchase this book on the Kindle :)
