The Crossing (The Last Cavaliers) by Gilbert Morris

The Crossing (The Last Cavaliers) by Gilbert Morris-

I love that Gilbert Morris has a new series out and love that it is on the Kindle.  Not all of his books are on the Kindle yet.  This book takes place during the civil war!

"From the beloved author of the bestselling House of Winslow series comes a new trilogy about the Civil War. Join Gilbert Morris as he explores the life of General Stonewall Jackson through the story of the fictional Yancy Tremayne. Raised among the Cheyenne, Yancy rejects the Amish community his father rejoins and instead studies under Thomas Jackson, a professor at the local military school. When war breaks out, will Yancy further distance himself from the pacifist community and join the fighting? And can he find a home for his heart?"

If you are a fan of historical Christian fiction, you will probably like this book!

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers-

"California's gold country, 1850. A time when men sold their souls for a bag of gold and women sold their bodies for a place to sleep.

Angel expects nothing from men but betrayal. Sold into prostitution as a child she survives by keeping her hatred alive. And what she hates most are the men who use her, leaving her empty and dead inside.

Then she meets Michael Hosea. A man who seeks his Father's heart in everything, Michael obeys God's call to marry Angel and to love her unconditionally. Slowly, day by day, he defies Angel's every bitter expectation, until despite her resistance, her frozen heart begins to thaw.

But with her unexpected softening come overwhelming feelings of unworthiness and fear. And so Angel runs. Back to the darkness, away from her husband's pursuing love, terrified of the truth she no longer can deny: Her final healing must come from the One who loves her even more than Michael does ... the One who will never let her go."

This is one of the best books I have ever read, both Christian and non-Christian.  The story really draws you in and the author has a way of making her characters real.  This was the book I read that made me want to read the rest of her stuff.

Delivered with Love by Sherry Kyle

Delivered with Love by Sherry Kyle-

"An old love letter found in the glove compartment of a young woman's inherited 1972 Volkswagen propels her to leave her life in Los Angeles and go to the small town of Capitola, California. There her dream of finding the writer of the letter leads her on an unexpected journey that changes her life forever.

Claire James, age twenty-three, is ready to make it on her own.  When she's fired from her job as a waitress and subsequently kicked out of her sister's home, she sees it as an opportunity to start over.  But even before moving, a thirty-five-year-old love letter written to her mother keeps Claire stuck in the past.  Michael Thompson, a middle-aged real estate agent, wants to keep the past where it belongs--at least until his grown daughter is married.  But, then a young woman comes to town"

This is a sweet book I have read myself. I really enjoyed it too. It takes place in California where I am from so that was nice too. Claire is very likeable and it is great to read about her journey.  I enjoyed watching her form relationships with others in the book.   You can purchase this book on the Kindle :)

The Yada Yada Prayer Group: The Yada Yada Prayer Group, Book 1 by Neta Jackson

The Yada Yada Prayer Group: The Yada Yada Prayer Group, Book 1 by Neta Jackson-

"What do an ex-con, a former drug addict, a real estate broker, a college student, and a married mother of two have in common?  Nothing, or so I thought. Who would have imagined that God would make a prayer group as mismatched as ours the closest of friends? I almost didn't even go to the Chicago Women's Conference--after all, being thrown together with five hundred strangers wasn't exactly my "comfort zone." But something happened that weekend to make us realize we had to hang together, and the "Yada Yada Prayer Group" was born! When I faced the biggest crisis of my life, God used my newfound Sisters to show me what it means to be just a sinner saved by grace."

I haven't personally read this book yet but I have heard it is really good!  You can buy the book for your Kindle or buy it in paperback.

Why Read Christian Fiction?

Some people might wonder why someone would read Christian fiction. I am the type of person that loves to read a lot of different types of books but Christian fiction is one of my favorites!

I really enjoy a lot of the stories I have read in this genre.  I prefer books that are a little deeper than they are not but I always enjoy a good story.  I like that the characters will pray and depend on God throughout the book.  I also enjoy reading about those on a faith journey.  Hearing verses in a book is nice too.

The great thing is that within Christian fiction you can find a bunch of different types of books.  From Historical fiction to modern Chick-lit.  There really is something for everyone.

Why do you like Christian fiction?

Her Mother's Hope by Francine Rivers

Her Mother's Hope by Francine Rivers-

I have this book on my list!  I have been a fan of this book for a while and would like to read it soon.

"The first in an epic two-book saga by beloved author Francine Rivers, this sweeping story explores the complicated relationships between mothers and daughters over several generations. Near the turn of the 20th century, fiery Marta leaves Switzerland determined to find life on her own terms. Her journey takes her through Europe and finally lands her with children and husband in tow in the central valley of California. Marta’s experiences convince her that only the strong survive. Hildie, Marta’s oldest daughter, has a heart to serve others, and her calling as a nurse gives her independence, if not the respect of her mother. Amid the drama of WWII, Hildie marries and begins a family of her own. She wants her daughter never to doubt her love—but the challenges of life conspire against her vow. Each woman is forced to confront her faulty but well-meaning desire to help her daughter find her God-given place in the world."

Love Finds You in Sunset Beach, Hawaii by Robin Jones Gunn...

Love Finds You in Sunset Beach, Hawaii by Robin Jones Gunn...

"Sierra came to Sunset Beach for relaxation—not for world-class surfing and certainly not for romance! When a wealthy friend offers Sierra Jensen a vacation at an oceanfront beach house, she envisions a quiet retreat where she can plan her next move. Instead, she arrives at the start of the noisy surfing competitions and is surprised to learn that her friend had an ulterior motive—namely, introducing Sierra to Jordan Bryce, the tenant staying below them. Jordan is a photographer whose lens and attention are focused on the surfers, and he is not willing to let anyone get in his way of landing the next cover shot for Surf Days magazine. Sierra and Jordan came to Sunset Beach looking for different things. But as the surf pounds the North Shore, will they discover something better than either of them had imagined?"

This book looks great if you are a fan of Robin Jones Gunn and Sierra, one of her characters.

Home Another Way by Christa Parish

Home Another Way by Christa Parish-

"If you wake up tomorrow and realize that you just might be worth something to someone, give me a call." "I don't have a phone," I told Jack. I was being a jerk, but I couldn't help needling him closer to the breaking point. I wanted to crush the tiny, insistent longing that whispered, Someday, someone will stay. He was tenacious--there was no denying that. But I was more so. Sarah Graham is living life hard and fast--and she is flat broke. When her estranged father dies, she travels to the tiny mountain hamlet of Jonah, New York, to claim her inheritance. Once there, however, she learns that her plans for the future--and her memories of the past--are about to change forever.

I read this book a few years ago and really enjoyed it!  It is a very nice and strong Christian Fiction book.  Not too sappy or fluffy.  I am looking forward to reading her other books.

Christian Fiction Books Online

I had this amazing idea to create a free Kindle book blog.  A place where I could post about all the free Kindle books I found.  The only problem was Amazon doesn't really like that.  So I thought to myself, what should I do about it?

I decided to create this blog instead and make it all about Christian Fiction books.  I read a lot of different types of books but this is one of my more popular categories.

I will be posting blog reviews, posts about authors and books I find for a great deal online!  I hope this site will help you find great deals on your favorite books and help you to discover new books!
